ORGANIC DRY RED
‘Black of Kalavryta’ or ‘Black Kalavrytino’ is a rare red grape variety indigenous to the area around the town of Kalavryta, in Peloponesse. Although it is used by a few producers in blends, this is the only varietal wine made exclusively with Black of Kalavryta grape by Tetramythos wineries.
Characteristics: This unoaked organic wine has a light and vivid ruby colour with red and dark fruit and discreet violet aromas and earthy leather flavours. Gentle in the mouth and relatively light bodied with integrated tannins and attractive finish. Ageing potential 3-5 years. This soft red wine goes perfectly with pasta with tomato sauce, lightly cooked white meat, slow-cooked pork leg and pizza but would also compliment a roast salmon or a traditional greek oven baked fish.
